The UFC son, Nate Diaz, is returning to the advertising.
The longtime fan-favorite will certainly fill 50% of the hole that has been a bothersome existence in the UFC.
Nick, the elder of Stockton, the Diaz brothers of California, has not competed in MMA. It is nice to have among the siblings that are no-nonsense rejoin the world’s leading martial arts company.
The competition for his comeback fight of diaz is Anthony Pettis, the former UFC champion. He’ll hope this one endings better than his final bout within the Octagon.
Diaz’s last bout resulted in what you might refer to as a”lose-win scenario” for the now 34-year-old.
In his highly anticipated rematch with Conor McGregor in UFC 202, the Cesar Gracie BJJ black belt lost by the narrowest of decisions. Disappointing, convinced, but he got to wipe the tears off his face with a cool $13 million in earnings that were pay-per-view and his joint purse.
No wonder he wanted a little time off.
Now the UFC boy will probably focus on Pettis and also an opportunity to reestablish himself.
Like his last two bouts against McGregor, this one will probably be fought at welterweight. While Pettis is 1-0 at the UFC in welterweight after an incredible win over Stephen Thompson in March, diaz is 2-3 in his last five fights at 170 lbs.
What a fight we’ve got in store.
